Trojans still fighting
2/25/2008
Thornhill Trojans kept their NCL Premier League survival hopes alive with a hard-fought 30-10 win over Eastmoor Dragons.
The only NCL Premier League game of the weekend saw the Trojans getting a valuable 2 points as they beat the relegated Dragons 30-10. They will now be favourites to stay up as their points difference is much better than that of the Castleford Panthers who share that 3rd relegation position with them.
In the Carnegie Challenge Cup Leeds Metropolitan University claimed their second NCL Premier league scalp, following up their defeat of the Trojans, with a 20-8 victory over Leigh East.
CMS Yorkshire Cup side Queens also claimed another valuable scalp when they visited Siddal and beat them 6-17. And in another thrilling tie the Army kicked a last minute penalty to defeat NCL Division One team Ince Rosebridge 25-26.
