Top Teams struggle in another exciting weekend

9/17/2006

The form book was thrown out of the window as only one of the top four teams won on Saturday, showing how tight the National Conference Premier League is this season.

West Hull overcame a sprited Shaw Cross Sharks to win 2-19 and slip into third position in the table, whilst St.Pats were beaten for the first time by a West Bowling outfit who turned in a tremendous performance to win 28-12 at Bankfoot.

Elsewhere, Hull Dockers had to rely on a Chris Stephenson last minute penalty to claim a point against Skirlaugh, whilst St. Annes picked up their first points with a 38-16 win over Eastmoor Dragons.

Thornhill, East Hull and Siddal were also winners in this very tight competition.
