Skirlaugh close in on Miners

Skirlaugh took advantage of their catch-up game to beat Castleford Panthers 4-38 and are now breathing down Miners’ necks.

Leigh East also made sure of the points beating bottom-team Eastmoor Dragons by 0-40, and move up to fourth position.

In the other two games Siddal beat Dockers 19-12, and West Hull beat relegated West Bowling 32-0.

In Division One Saddleworth took over top spot even though they could only manage a 22-22 draw with Eccles & Salford Juniors.

And in Division Two Normanton Knights are still top of the pile.
