Simms Cross lift GMB Cup

Halton Simms Cross defeated Ince Rosebridge to lift the GMB Union National Cup by 23-8. It is the first time that the club have won the trophy, and are well-deserved winners, beating two NCL Premier League teams on the way to the final.

It is the first time in ten years that a team from outside the NCL has won the competition, and the North-West Counties club have been strong contenders in the National Cup in recent years.
