Simms Cross knock Miners out of cup

Simms Cross make the headlines again this week as they knocked NCL Premier League leaders Leigh Miners out of the GMB National Cup at the Quarter Final stage by 32-12. In what was expected to be a close affair it was Simms Cross who ran away with the game in the second half.
In the Humberside derby East Hull came out 26-10 winners over their rivals from across the city, West Hull, whilst Saddleworth Rangers had to go to extra time to defeat another North West Counties Premier League side, Blackbrook. In the other GMB game Ince Rosebridge overcame Waterhead, 18-14.

In the NCL Premier League Hull Dockers took advantage of their local rivals cup clash by beating bottom-placed St. Annes by 30-4 and move up to fourth place in the league table. Skirlaugh moved to with a point of Leigh Miners at th etop whilst there was a thrilling encounter at Oulton where the Raiders were beaten in the final five minutes by Wigan St. Patricks.
