Panthers miss big chance
3/10/2008
The Castleford Panthers missed a great opportunity to keep their NCL Premier League survival hopes alive when they lost to bottom-team Eastmoor Dragons.
It was an ideal opportunity for the Panthers to keep up the pressure on Thornhill, but they threw it away losing 34-12 to Eastmoor. The Trojans now have a game in hand and a much better points difference.
In the only other Premier league games Leigh East beat siddal 20-2 and Hull Dockers defeated West Bowling 12-22.
In Division One Wigan St.Judes closed in on Saddleworth with a 16-15 win over Widnes St.Maries, and in Division Two its still Normanton Knights setting the pace.
