No change at the top of Premier League
9/10/2006
All four teams at the top of the National Conference Premier League win to set the early season pace.
Reigning Champions Oulton were seen off by league leaders St. Pats who continued their fine early season form with a fifth straight win. Six different try-scorers and eight goals from the boot of Ian Schofield showed their strength in all positions.
Hull Dockers and Eastmoor Dragons also had fine wins against West Bowling and Shaw Cross respectively, whilst West Hulls Mark Hewitt dropped a goal in the last minute to beat Watch Brow Hornets 19-18.
In another thrilling encounter Skirlaugh denied St. Annes a point with a Rob Blakeborough penalty in the dying minutes at Higginshaw Road, as they won 23-24.
