4/14/2008
Leigh Miners score 76 unanswered points to hold off a strong challenge from East Hull and claim the NCL Minor Premiership

It was always going to be an uphill struggle for both East Hull and Wigan St.Pats to get what they wanted from this game. Easts needed to win huge to overturn Leigh Miners' points difference whilst Pats needed a win to beat Siddal to the 6th Play-Off place.

In the end the 36-6 East Hull win was no good for either of them. Easts finished runner-up to Leigh Miners, and Pats' season finished with them 8th in the NCL Premier League table.

In the only other game to be played Rochdale Mayfield beat Oulton Raiders 29-10, and they will play Leigh East next week in the Elimination Play-Off whilst Siddal will visit Skirlaugh.

In Division One Wigan St.Judes are still top by 6 points, although they can still be caught by Wath Brow Hornets who have 3 games in-hand.

And in Division Two Normanton are 2 points clear of Millom, who have games in hand. The two square off next weekend, however.
