East Hull in Grand Final
4/28/2008
A stunning second half fightback saw East Hull overcome an 8 point half-time deficit to beat Leigh Miners 24-40 to reach the Grand Final.
The Humberside club at one point were 24-4 in arrears, but pulled themselves together, and scored 5 unanswered tries in just over 40 minutes.
Miners will be stunned by this defeat, but must pick themselves up for their Grand Final eliminator against last seasons Grand Final winners Skirlaugh, who defeated Rochdale Mayfield 22-21 with a last minute touchline conversion.
Going into the final 5 minutes with a 12 point cushion Mayfield must have thought they'd done enough to win the game, but two tries both converted by the seasons leading poinsts scorer Jordan precious sealed the win.
