East Hull give warning

3/24/2008

East Hull sent out a warning to Miners and Skirlaugh with a 64-0 thrashing of Castleford Panthers, and go second in the NCL Premier league.

Easts skipped over their local rivals Skirlaugh, and into second place with that victory, whilst Skirlaugh lost a thriller 14-15 against Thornhill Trojans.

Leigh Miners could only manage a 26-26 draw with Rochdale Mayfield, but are still 3 poinst clear going into the final few weeks of the regular season. And who would bet against them being in the Grand Final again ?

Leigh East kept up their challenge with a 8-36 defeat of Wigan St.Patricks, and with that 64-0 beating, the Panthers were relegated.

In Division One Wigan St.Judes strengthened their hopes of being Champions without taking the field as Saddlewoth went down again, this time to Widnes St. Maries.

And in Division Two Normanton went back to the top winning 30-24 over Heworth.
